Linda and I went to E.W.Bower School. We had so many laughs together, especially in the library when we would brouse through the books. I was sorry to hear of her passing. She was a kind  and gentle person.

It is so heart-warming to see these kind words about my mother! She was such an inspirational woman and even though she was sick she was involved with so many activities with me and my sister Dawn. She was always proud to be a Bulldog. Linda Castellan and Janet, thank you for sharing your memories of my mother. Linda, I remember how involved you were with my mother and all of the planning for me to go away to college.

Linda and I became friends when I started Edward W. Bower elementary school in 5th grade.  Even though we weren't in too many classes together, we were always friends.  She was a shy, quiet but sweet-natured girl.  Sorry to hear of her passing

I had the privilege of being Guidance Counselor for Linda's two beautiful and talented daughters during their years at Lindenhurst High School. It was not until then that I learned that Linda had become ill early during her Nursing career. She needed a liver transplant and, although she finally did undergo the surgery, the transplant was too late. Linda was a wonderful mother- always concerned about the future and the welfare of her girls. It is unfortunate that her life was cut short. Her spirit, however, lives on in her children.
